Good Mornin' Peeps
How are you all?
It's been busy around here. Workity work work, and now my husband's brother and wife are visiting from Japan. They visit once a year in August. They live the rest of the year in Tokyo.
Here's a few pics of my yard. And the critters therein.
Can you see Mr. Toad in his hole? Under the portulaca?
I have two fine toads in my front yard this year. Toads are awesome!
Closer upper. He's all "if I don't look at you, you can't see me".
This is a lovely portrait of teeny Mssr. Garter Snake. He lives under the rocks at the edge of my little fish pond. We caught him peeking out of his hidey hole last night. I suspect he is snacking on a few of the smaller frogs around my pond, alas! There are four of our guinea pigs that live in the goat shed in the summer. They have their own personal "pig door" which leads to a sheltered bench where their food and water is stored. The goats can't get to them there. In the evenings the piggies come out to graze on the (drought-dry) grass! They are SO happy out there! It's so funny to see them, the goats and chickens all combing peacefully through the grass for nibbles! The pigs are from L-R Cissy, Ella and Cosmo.I am off to do some shoppin' with Ashlee. Have a good day, Peeps!

When we went blueberry picking we saw a toadersons we thought was a chipmunk. Eet was HUGE! I took a photo. I'll post it sometime. Thundertoad!
Don't pick up your garter snake. They make your hands stinky.
I hope your BIL & SIL love animals! Have fun with them.
Yup, I'm moving in with you too, Lauri. Until then, thanks for sharing your wonderful world with us.
Top o' the morning to you, Lauri! It's evening for me now, but still - I lof the peegs and snake!
I love portulacas and I love SAYING portulaca! I often buy plants just because I love to say the name. Heliotrope for example. Then there are the flowers I avoid cuz I don't like the name....Osteospermum. Haha! Actually, I don't buy them cuz they are all pretty at the store and then they never flower again for me. But, still, I think a more flowery name would be better. :P
pyrit! I want a Thundertoad!!! Toads are one of my favorite critters! I hope to see Thundertoad on your blob soon!
The rest of yous, ok, now you have talked me in to posting video of the critters from last evening!
