Woo hoo! Congratulations!

Proof that to be cute is to rule the world. I always wondered why I did not rule the world...
[this is good]

Wow, does this mean that I am the arbiter of supreme ultimate power?
Well, me and that Meg chick.
Of course.

This sure beats making the Vox Explore page. Good on ya.

yay!! congrats for you and babbeh turtles!!
&:o)
When I saw your post yesterday, it reminded me: remember when they used to sell them little guys in pet stores???
sweet little babies~
w00t w00t w00t!!! Lauri & Turdees are famoose!
Yes, YGRS. I used to buy the poor babies.
Back then....everyone bought them and no one knew how to care for them.
I guess that goes for just about everything bought in petstores today, too.

We keep living and learning!

Teho, you and Meggie Moo can rule the world! That'd be just fine!
[this is good]
wooohooo! I saw theeem, congrats!... about time we get a turdl category on CO. So cute.
[this is teh awesomest!!!] Congrats!! Yer famous (although us vox neighbors have always known that you're a rock star!)!!
I believe it is written that "the squee shall inherit the earff".

Um....thanks, Val....um...ya have??? ;)

They used to be sold until people realized they carried salmonella and other bacteria. Kids would get sick from sticking turtles in their mouths - or just playing with them and not washing their hands.

Gah. Can't imagine sticking a turtle in my mouf. *gags a little bit*

Then there was that amorphous time when pet stores would sell them to ya if you said they were being used for "educational" purposes. *wink wink*

There's salmonella out there in lots of things besides toidies. They got a bad rap!

Um....thanks, Val....um...ya have??? ;)

Holy smokes yeah! You save aminal lives and everything. You are totally a rock star!

I never thought of turtles as pets. They were just another example of wild fauna we would come across, watch and enjoy and let be. Maybe pick one up and inspect closely, then let go back into the pond or creek (pronounced crick, of course).

They also sun themselves on the derelict raft of summer swimming past. We would have pulled it out of the pond years ago if not for its current use by the local turtle families. Or so we say. I think my brothers are just too lazy to remove it.

LITERARY LOL!!! Luvvit! "As dry leaves that before the wild hurricane fly, when met with an obstacle mount with the sky..."
er... mount TO the sky.
[snicker]
Sky mounting.

I didn't know leaves were so...dirty. Tee hee!

*snickering at yer snickering*

Sky mounting sounds so......lofty.
That line IS fantastic, Amy.

You're an auffor!

Aw, shucks. Thanks, guys. *shuffles feet*

I did work that line over a few times to get it just.right. Every so often I can pull together words in just the right way. If I do it too much, I might raise expecations higher than I can reach. ;-)

Plus, it's extra effort and I'm lazy sumtimes.

*singin'* Su-um tiiiiime, and the livin' is laaaa-zzeeey......

Fish are schwimmmmmin, and the turtles are tie-tie...

Well of course the turties wandered over the CO.
Hi, lauo! Another couple o' batches of tomater sauce completed! Nummers!!!
I am indeed! :))))

It was a turtley wonderful day!
Wait...there's something slightly Phishey going on.....
