When my daughter and I arrived in Minneapolis/St. Paul at the airport for Christmas we got into the baggage claim area and there was this big crowd of people smiling ear-to-ear, cheering and waving signs . Then a live band started playing and when we turned around we saw, right behind us, there was the guy uniform a few feet back.
I then noticed the signs said "welcome home" and "we love you" and a woman went rushing over to the man behind us and gave him the biggest hug. It was his mom and she just enveloped him with her embrace and tears. Then another woman handed him a little baby girl, who I assume was his daughter. There had to be about 20 people all there welcoming this man back, and a marching band! I got completely choked up over it...and am again just thinking about it now.
Thanks for sharing this, what a good and deserving person to be recognized for his acts of gratitude.
