Yep..it's another perfect day.
And what am I going to do about it?
I am going to wash a few windows, change a few critter cages and go for a Bike Ride!! I can't wait on the bike ride...but I'll wait until this afternoon when the temps get out of the 40s!

Tootling along Toesday

Hai, all!
Sunday and Monday in Cleveland was awesome. I got to see Ashlee's new old house. They have painted several rooms already. It's pretty exciting project! It's perfect for them to start out in!
We went for a walk in the huge metropark along the Rocky River, did lots of eating and shopping. It was really fun.

Today I went for my first physical therapy appointment and all is looking really good! I can do whatever I want with my foot now! Watch out!!! I have to pick up marbles with my toes and put them in a dish. I'll be the Amazing FingerToe.

Now, of course, the house is such a shambles I will be too intimidated to start cleaning or organizing anywhere. I mean...100 years from now, who will care?

Meh. I guess I will start out by eating some supper and then seeing if I can get motivated to do anything. I was gone all day. Why start now?

Not a good night for ma sports, aaaaaahparently. Why does "apparently" have "parent" in it?

According to the movie I finally got to see, these are the words of Harvey Milk. "Come out to your parents. Come out to your friends, if they really are your friends..."

Obviously the movie was "Milk".

Ok, I know I am way late in seeing this movie, but I loved it. I loved the message of hope for all the youngsters who suffer because they are made to feel different and hated by "God". Ugh. Sorry. "Hating" and "God" do not belong in the same universe.

I loved the message (one of many in the movie)......(paraphrase) "let everyone see who we are"...get to know us...we are like you. Hopes, fears, highs, lows...get to know us.

I am so glad I saw this movie tonight...and so glad President Obama signed the hate-crimes law today....and said this...

""After more than a decade of opposition and delay, we've passed inclusive hate crimes legislation to help protect our citizens from violence based on what they look like, who they love, how they pray or who they are,"

Yes!!! It is late. But, it's here.

Hubby and I had a great conversation about people like Harvey Milk. Those who are "called"....are "drawn"....who can't resist what they were made for....to fight, even to the death, for what is best for the evolution of humanity as a whole.

I can't imagine (being one of the "many") what it's like to be a Jesus or a Harvey Milk or a Please-fill-in-your-name-here-of-a-visionary-who-knows-people-deserve-equality, but I am so grateful those people are out there to speak against hatred and fear and propaganda and exclusion-ism.

U2 has announced an initial set of North American concert dates in 2010, bringing the U2 360 tour back for visits to several cities that were passed over on the current leg of the tour. For now, here are the dates, cities, and venues that have been announced:

6 June, 2010 Anaheim CA US Angel Stadium
12 June, 2010 Denver CO US Invesco Field
16 June, 2010 Oakland CA US Oakland Coliseum
20 June, 2010 Seattle WA US Qwest Field
23 June, 2010 Edmonton CA Commonwealth Stadium
30 June, 2010 East Lansing MI Spartan Stadium
3 July, 2010 Toronto ON CA Rogers Centre
6 July, 2010 Chicago IL US Soldier Field
9 July, 2010 Miami FL US Land Shark Stadium
12 July, 2010 Philadelphia PA Lincoln Financial Field
16 July, 2010 Montreal QC Venue TBA
19 July, 2010 New York NY New Meadowlands Stadium

We do expect additional concerts to be announced, particularly where there are lengthy periods of time between dates listed above. (Between June 6 and 12, for example, another show at Angel Stadium seems likely.) However, a Live Nation news release specifically says that Chicago and Toronto will be "one night only."

U2 at MSU June 30, 2010. FINE, I'll be there! :D

Blaaaaah.

Feeling blah. But every day is another day. It's State the F-ing Obvious Day.
Wrap is off foot. I probably did too much yesterday, although I can't think of anything I actually DID. :(

It ached and grumbled all night. Oh well, two weeks is two weeks. (StFOD).

I just emptied the dishwasher and scrubbed dog pewk off of about 5 stairs. It looks like Reuben was facing down the stairs when he urped.

So, I guess my usefulness has been proven for one more day.

The kittens found the pewk clean up completely fascinating. Oh, I signed up for my benefits for next year through the hospital. Of course they are cutting all the management and non-union peoples' benefits, but at least for another year we will still have them!

So that's three things I did today. Meh.

Ok...off to have lunch and then try to accomplish something else. I hope you all are having good ones! :)
