If the sight of the blue skies fills you with joy, if a blade of grass
springing up in the fields has power to move you, if the simple things of nature
have a message that you understand, rejoice, for your soul is
alive.

Now that's a nice lookin' boy.
I got "Grace", the cd by JB this week. I am loving it.Good stuff. I am going to copy "Hallelujah"'s lyrics here so I have a copy. Nice.
I was going to replace flannel sheets on the bed today...but, it's snowing, and it's not going to get above 40 until maaaaybe next week. Better keep the flannels on for another week.
I have had a fire going in the fireplace more this spring than most of the winter. It's wetter and I am feeling colder than when the snowstorms were howling. I suppose the furnace runs more then.
My car, Lapis, is getting his struts replaced today. I lurve my Honda CRV. He has over 85,000 miles on him and our road is gravel and this year has been horrendous on his suspension. Ruts a foot deep. 950 dollars...but to keep him in good shape it's worth it!
Time to get movin' on changing sheets and other householdy stuff. Sing, Jeff. You rock.
Hallelujah by Leonard Cohen. Version by JB.
Well I heard there was a secret chord
That David played, and it pleased the Lord
But you don't really care for music, do ya?
Well it goes like this
The fourth, the fifth
The minor fall and the major lift
The baffled king composing Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Well Your faith was strong but you needed proof
You saw her bathing on the roof
Her beauty and the moonlight overthrew you
she tied you to her kitchen chair
And she broke your throne and she cut your hair
And from your lips she drew the Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Well baby I've been here before
I know this room and I've walked this floor
I used to live alone before I knew ya
I've seen your flag on the marble arch
Love is not a victory march
It's a cold and it's a broken Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Well there was a time when you let me know
What's really going on below
But now you never show that to me do you?
And remember when I moved in you?
And the holy dove was moving too
And every breath we drew was Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Well maybe there's a God above
But all I've ever learned from love
Was how to shoot somebody who'd OUT DREW YA
And it's not a cry that you hear at night
It's not somebody who's seen the light
It's a cold and it's a broken Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Ah. This has been a good day.
A day off when I actually got a lot done and was in a fairly good mood. yay! :P
I went to lunch with Marilyn for a slightly delayed birthday lunch! Hers was March 4. It was fun!
I did a bunch of shopping (while humming the music from the scene from Gladiator on Jay's blog) for chicken/goat/human food and got some stuff my aquariums needed.
The snow is mostly gone out of the backyard and hubby went on Turd Patrol while I was at work all weekend and the backyard is turd-free! YAY!!!
I am having Easter dinner here on Sunday and I was all crabby and pissed about it. Not in the mood at all. But, I went to the store, and suddenly got inspired to buy all the food. Jello for jigglers (in the molds...cute!), ham, scalloped potatoes of some sort, broccoli casserole, mebbe, and fixin's for a strawberry/pineappley dessert....I always want that at Easter....it's seems springy for some reason.
Got stuff for the two kids' Easter baskets who are going to be home.
(I was all "F" that this year, too, until today...my bipoliarity is really running amok)
So...all the animals are fed. They are so happy the snow is gone.....OH....fyi, Weatherbug just sent me a "Winter weather advisory" for tonight....another Killian's PLEASE@@!!!!111
And, I am making poke chops and beans and tomatoes and brussel sprouts for supper!
Aaaah. A good day.
What a lovely day! The snow was actually melting! My goats and chicks, who have spent many days of the last few weeks huddled inside their houses were out and enjoying the mild temps and the sunshine. They looked so happy I had to take pics.
I have four chicks. These girls are four years old now, and in the last 3 days they have laid 6 eggs! I think that's pretty good for four girls who are no longer Spring Chickens!
